After reading this article, I think any person can make his or her own website within few hours.

The things you may not need:-
It is okay if you do not have command over programming or scripting languages. But yes if you have little bit idea about html and php that it would be the add advantage.
No need to have much finance.

The things you must have:-
You must have connectivity to internet. Some tools like filezilla it helps you to upload and download files from your server.
Domain name:-
You must have one domain name e.g. www.zihh.com on which we will you want to develop website. If you do not have one that you have to register it from any registrar some of good and reliable registrar are godaddy.com, registerfly.com, domainsite.com you can register domain name which normally costs you from 2 to 9$ for one year.
Hosting server:-You need hosting for your website. Keep in mind your hosting should support PHP, Mysql, Apache (PHP is scripting language, Mysql handles database, Apache is server like IIS but it is cheaper than IIS server).Depending upon your need you can purchase the space like 50mb to 1gb what ever you thing is sufficient for your website.
It costs you around 1 to 2 $ for a month. You may also get hosting services for free many companies giving such promotional offers.

Domain configuration:-
When you get your domain set it’s DNS(Domain name server) to the one which is provided to you by your hosting service.

Making your website script:-
You need to have script for your website it may be Php or Html as per your convenience. There are millions of script is available for free on the net. You can take one of them or you can easily make it your self using any html editor. You can customize script according to your need if you have little bit knowledge of html ot php.

This is a great start to making websites as some people just write go into notepad and type the following

Yes i am having free script on my hosting.I have changed logo and some colour layouts according to my need.Is there anything wrong with this?

Good places to register a domain name - regfly??? Strongly advise against that imo you would get more pleasure out of giving your $$ to a drunk on the street.

I put together a guide to help beginners go from registering a domain name up through installing Drupall and some basic Drupal configuration. If you don't want to use Drupall you can still use the guide and then when it gets to the part about installing a script you can choose a different one. While it's very simple i guess it's a start. Most people who start won't spend money on a domain or hosting. They tend to use a free web host and than as they better with websites and understanding of domains and sub domains they'll move up.

I remember when i was 12 i got my first domain for 2 years before that i had been on free hosting and sub domains. It wasn't that i didn't understand it i was just broke and to lazy to save $15.

Now $15 feels like change but anyways, i recommend most people just starting to develop a website to look at www.zeeblo.com and www.trap17.com or www.trap17.net. first 2 are ad free when you post. 3rd is free with ads and instant set up.

If your new i defaintly recommend starting with blogs, thats what i still use today just because i love wordpress's interface.

While this was a decent attempt at a guide on how to build a website i feel it was rushed and the full building map wasn't laid out very well.
