How to install extensions in OpenLD

Instead of modding a directory, with OpenLD, you can use extensions instead. With extensions, you can install/uninstall them easy and even if you have 10 installed on the same time, you can update the script with zero worrying that the extensions would make your script buggy(which would be the case with conventional mods).

Now I'm going to show how to install an extension, it might be a bit tricky as you can see in this guide. But when it's done, you can uninstall them in 2 clicks and re-install them in.. also also 2 clicks(first link click, then button click).

1. Find an extension. If you don't like to code an extension from scratch, you can allways look at the official download page or in the forum.

2. Unpack the extensions zip file and upload the file to your server.

3. Find the extension link in 'Available Extensions' and click on it.

4. Click on install if you are satisfied.

5. Now you can see that the extension is installed.

6. And it's working.

Now, you might want to place the related categories somewhere else or do it in another way. No problem. Before you upload an extension to the webserver, you can edit the file 'extension.xml' which includes hooks and php code.
