This is your opinion, but I own my own server and have T3 line to it, it is unlimited meaning unmetered, they are just synonym. If you like my deal and wish to purchase it, then please post.

Well, it is possible in some aspects and impossible in others.
But what if it was a huge software site going through tons of terrabytes every few days? Would you be able to keep hosting them (for $250/yr)?

Unlimited is different from unmetered. I hate it when they say unlimited because thats impossible, but unmetered is okay. However I don't trust for a second that unmetered is worth it because they could put 1000 people on a single server and you can't do anything about it.

Unlimited and unmetered are very different.

Unmetered, means you can get as much total you want within a mbits/sec frame.. so if you have a 1Gbit connection to the computer x 2.6M seconds. would be your theoretical Maximum bandwidth.. If you were running at max speed by yourself with no extra lag or even another single user added to your bottle neck..

As no one is likely to spend $250 a year on webhosting, I am lowering the price to $220. And if you refer a friend to get the package as well, I will give the package for $199.99 for the year and a top level domain for free. I think this will beat any competition.

I belive that people have to employ some common sense here, As long as you don't transfer the yahoo search engine to the server, your host would not cut you off. As long as you stay in within resononable limits then Its okay. The people that purposely try to take advantage of their host, and degrade the quality of service for the other customers is what generates the negative opinion.

The main reason that competitors get angered by 'unlimited' hosts, is there is no way to compete with that, god forbid things are based off of levels of service and support...
