I have reseller hosting, but it was very slow, the reseller has reloaded the kernal + installed in new hard drive. But I think it is still not proper.

Are there any other good but cheap reseller hosting that someonw would recommend.
I paid $99 for 1 GB space and 30 GB of Bandwidth but this year he will offer 3Gb space and 45Gb bandwidth., this is with unlimited domain, mysql db's, and WHM,cPanel Branding ,Anonymous Server Hostname ,Anonymous shared SSL etc..

And for the hardware he has put: DELL Dual XEON based servers. Each server has SCSI hard drives and at least 2GB of system memory., Our hardware is chosen specifically for its reliability and interoperability with Red HatEnterprise Linux, our preferred high-
performance, open-source Unix operating system.

What kind of servers do you use?
We utilize dual xeon 2.4ghz servers with hyperthreading technology (making 4 cpus). Each server is outfitted with at least 1000-2000 MB of RAM and high performance 10,000 RPM SCSI hard drives. With 9.6ghz of processing power, your website will run at lighting fast speeds.

thanks

I dont think that is very good...

http://infrenion.com offers awsome support, there a little pricey, but there support pays up at the end.

And if your doing well and have a few customers on your reseller

http://managed.com - I was told they are under new management. In the past few months they have improved a hell of a lot... i know they have some bad reviews but there awsome now, i know a lot of people that use them these past few months and have nothing but good to say. Although there background is kinda bad because of what Angelnetworks did, it was not managed.com's fault, it was angelnetworkz fault for not paying the bills. But i do suggest them, i know for a fact that its under new management actually

Cody

P.S there prices kick butt

Hi,
I emailed the hosting company:
With the below

Hi,
I have asked other developers and they have also said that there is too
much server load and the server is slow. If the server is fine then the
colour should be green not amber.
Also ping the server from this website:
http://www.siterecon.com/PingServer.aspx the request times outs.
****************
I got the following reply

Hello,
You cannot ping our servers because we have blocked ICMP packets on
firewall for more security.

I just restarted WHM so You can check that memory usage is not 40% ,
Linux however will take it shortly for cache.

apache (1.3.33 (Unix)) up
cppop up
cpsrvd up
exim
(exim-4.44-0_cpanel_smtpctl_av_rewrite_mm2_mmmtrap_exiscan_md 5pass) up
eximstats up
ftpd up
imap up
mysql (4.0.22-standard) up
spamd up
syslogd up
Server Load 3.64 (4 cpus)
Memory Used 40.9 %
Swap 0.998 %
Disk sda3 (/) 17 %
Disk sda1 (/boot) 35 %
Disk tmpMnt (/tmp) 1 %
Disk sdb1 (/hdd) 75 %

The memory usage on Linux servers will always be high as Linux servers
take all the available memory and give it to application which needs it
most at the moment.

************************************************** **
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=67359
Is that any better?
Thanks

From what I observe on my Linux computer, this is definitely not true at all.

pache (1.3.33 (Unix)) up
cppop up
cpsrvd up
exim (exim-4.44-0_cpanel_smtpctl_av_rewrite_mm2_mmmtrap_exiscan_md 5pass) up

Disk sda3 (/) 28 %
Disk sda1 (/boot) 38 %
Disk tmpMnt (/tmp) 13 %
Disk sdb1 (/home) 81 % (amber)
Disk hdd1 (/backup) 1 %

But still time to time the domain is slow and it was just down today, he said there were no outages but then after I emailed him he reset the server and everyhting in cpanel was failed, he then told me to wait 10 minutes and these are the new stats I hope someone can tell me if these are better or if they are still no good.

That is kinda true, I know what they're saying. Linux handles memory in a different way to Windows and shows that more memory is being used than actually is. Afterall, what's the point in having RAM which isn't used?

Server load is high, if that isn't a peak time my guess is the load can reach 10 and beyond. That's when you'll start to notice dramatic slowdowns.

What does it say under 'Server Information'?
