Anyone with Mosso or Media Temple?

There are lot of reviews on both on the web. Most are at least a year old and a lot has changed.

Does anyone have comments or latest experience with one of them?

Lets not talk about price. I dont mind paying 100usd for Mosso if it really is better than Media Temples 20USD a month.

How is the load time, uptime, support... etc?

moses i don't have any account with either of them.
yet what i will add is mosso forms part of rackspace _ the fanatical support guy.
rackspace host inet forums like webhostingtalk etc...
in the hosting market rackspace in of the most expensive like pair network yet the most reputable.
i think you are going to mosso or mediatemple cause of the cloud.

Mosso does sound more reliable and their feedback seems to be better.

Both give the impression of reliability and professionalism.

I have not be with either so cannot give a review.

Weigh up what each host provides and see which best suits you. If you have to, write down the features of each company next to each other and compare.

Visit WHT for their reviews + check if they have forums with them. That might be useful try to search for their real customers there

If that is possible try to ask them about test period (if they can provider that for you).
I hope that will help you to compare them in real time with the same tasks

What exactly do you need to host with any of them? They are quite known on the WHT. And that is not a problem to ask them about test period they can offer to you

How much space and bandwidth they use. They are the main indexes for web hosting choice

Frankly speaking, I have no firsthand experience with the both companies, but I think that comparison will show you what company is better. Check out hostcats.com, hostgator.com and hostmonster.com - no doubt, these companies will meet all your specific requirements and provide you with uninterrupted hosting services.

I dont believe in host who say that almost everything is unlimited.

I signed up with dreamhost a week ago and it looks to be the biggest mistake ever. No support and the site is down second time already.

So any suggestions where to host a wordpress blog with about 500k page views a month?

I am trying the rackspacecloud a/k/a Mosso - after a very disappointing experience with another host.

I assume they will be better now. I have heard they are going to be merged with one bigger company. Not sure if they are rumors or not but anyway.

I use mosso for a few servers. They are very good for me, and they should be launching windows server in the fall. I would recommend them to anyone I know, but what do you really need to know about them? You can just start using them and they only charge $1 on your card at first to test your card i guess. Almost impossible to run up a huge bill while you try them since they are so cheap. But it depends, what are you tyring to accomplish?

They are bought by Rackspace and rebranded to Rackspace Cloud. Looks not bad, here are some reviews I found.

One of my client was using mosso and had good things to say about them. No experience about media temple, sorry.

Rackspace always overcharge, I wont go with them unless I have a critical app. For a WP blog, I guess you can at least give media temple a try.

So long thread here. I deem if you do the search for the certain web hosting company name you will find what people have ever said about them and after all you will be able to understand if that is the kind of the company you can go with or not
