Large shared hosting (a semi-dedi)

I wonder what is the average price for large hosting accounts, also called semi-dedicated servers.

I have seen one from a2hosting.com, and they want about 74 dollars per month for 100 GB of Disk Space, 400 GB Monthly Data Transfer and unlimited accounts.

Is that reasonable? are there some other places to look at and compare?

Accurate has a spectacular aura aboutAccurate has a spectacular aura about

at that price you could probably purchase yoru own VPS + cPanel with alot more than what a2hosting.com is probably hosting their servers on.

Thanx Accurate! I know about VPS, I thought about it, but now I am interested in just large shared hosting. The person who will admin the site (I am just hired for finding a host and making a deals) has not enough experience for running a VPS. Moreover, due to the certain peculiarity of VPS hosting, they do not wish to have it.

Also, I do not think there are VPS of such large amounts of resources which is gonna be equally priced.

Thanks again.

If you are interested in large shared hosting, I'd like to draw your attention to webhostgiant.com as it offers really huge disk space and bandwidth at a really low price both on Linux and Windows platforms.

Semidedicated that is something sorta huge shared web hosting account. I would go for VPS. That is better.

I think a VPS must be a better solution for you.
Especially if it's cheap like microvps.com offers and it gives you more abilities in terms of web site management.

I believe 74 is fair price, however I would go with VPS. It looks better than shared

SiberForum will become famous soon enough

For $74 per month you will be able to get small dedicated server from some companies not VPS. And dedicated always better then shared

Maybe someone could post alternative semidedicated price, other than a2hosting.com offers? The company itself seems to be rather reliable (I have read some reviews recntly), but what about the priced of other companies? Is 75 buck really much for 100 gigs?

You could do some research on midphase. They have some large hosting packages.

I think that is reasonable. Make sure you get all what you pay for

I have recently seen something called vectoral.info - they have widest selection of plans I have ever seen! I guess there are plans to be compared with the asked company...
