what do u think is the best cheap reliable shared hosting
i found a list of some popular hosts at webhostinggeeks.com but not sure what to choose any one tried bluehost ?
please just through what you got in ur mind
the list at webhostinggeeks isn't that great a list. the hosts there are better known and have been around, but it's only because they look like a good deal with their overselling of services and other gimmicks like ad credit that no one ever really needs. the unlimited space/bandwidth is a dead giveaway of overselling, and even the 1.5tb from lunarpages is ridiculous for the price.
I am also trying to find a host. I want to make a site with open source scrips or scrips found on here. I noticed a lot of them have various requirements such as PHP and mySQL among other things, should I assume most hosts can support much of the free scrips or do they all have limitations and none are perfect?
rcep, what do you need web hosting for? There are tons of web hosts and they are good for some niches not for everything. Start your search with understannding what you need host for. That is right way

well i dont need unmetered space
in fact gator host small package is perfect for me at the moment but it doesnt Addon / Parked Domains thus will force me to get the 8$ package which i dont need
I was thinking of blue host some friend recommended but am not sure about their quality if they oversell or so
sorry about that.
sensitive site - something that i termed that's intriguing for example a download site should be one, a forum site could be another, you can download anything from it, you can post anything to it.
Can you name your requriments? If so post them in the request section and namepros web hosting proviers will post what they can offer. I think that such kind deal are great because you know the company through namepros.

ideal package might be Hatchling hostgator package but it got more domains allowed to be added , the Addon / Parked Domains enabled
thats the priority more space than that or bandwidth wont matter much to me
Also i want a good name of the host cuz i want long term registration for few years i cant change the server after that once i start with.
The cheapest I know of is about $3.00, and it's on shared deals from globaltap.com, but I have also heard that hostgator.com has one-cent shared deals.
There are many cheap web hosting providers out there. Picking the best one would be hard to do. Most companies start off really great when they first start when its just one or two people who actually care about it. But when it gets bigger they tend to get worse so...
I believe the cheapest offerings are there at Webhostgiant.com - during the time limited offer you may get a good hosting package for less than three dollars.
The second and the third issues you have named are quite difficult to check without trying the things. Reviews might be only one way

Well ,RYAN , I just kicked you off your WebHosting.
BTW , it was HostGator.com Hosting
They ,HOSTGATOR, and myself doesn't allow hosting of WAREZ or Similiar sites.
You know the site I am talking about, the one you have listed in your Signature.
I hope you can find another hosting company that will host you for free like I have been doing.
I would suggest that you post what type of site you're thinking of creating. be honest because if you're thinking of hosting some sort of high traffic site no what people recommend you'll likely end up breaking some TOS small print.
if a small site/blog their are some good hosts available from Namepros members. Fusedhosting/PolurNet.
The lists which are presented at such sites are often not more than just pre-paid advertising, thus are not objective.
Moreover the popularity does not always mean reliability. So, you have made a correct desicion when asked about feedbacks on the forum.
Personally I consider ServerPoint.com as one of the most reliable providers, because I know they are longstanding and affordable, which made them a good reputation.
But this is only IMHO, and you have to judge by your own experience.
Okay, if you are looking for reasonably priced, better hosts, I would siggest hostgator. Liquidweb good be better if you dont mind paying slightly more.
