· #5 | | New Member | If you have SSH access this method is the most effective. If you don't have SSH access, ask your provider for temporary access while you move the accounts.
Moving acct via SSH:
Login to old server
1. /scripts/pkgacct USERNAME
2. scp /home/cpmove-USERNAME.tar.gz new.serverhostname.com:/home/
3. ssh new.serverhostname.com "/scripts/restorepkg USERNAME"
Alternately you can enter this command all at once when logged into the old server:
/scripts/pkgacct USERNAME;scp /home/cpmove-USERNAME.tar.gz new.serverhostname.com:/home/;ssh new.serverhostname.com "/scripts/restorepkg USERNAME"
I hope this helps. |

· #6 | | NamePros Regular | You won't be able to do the transfer with the 'copy multiple accounts' if you don't have the root access in the remote server. In this case, you have only a reseller account there, and you can't copy with the reseller password.
You will go for the 'copy account with account password option.
Or if the VPS is managed it will be worth to ask them. |

· #8 | | NamePros Regular | The best way will be contact your new host for this.
Is your VPS a managed one? Or if you know the password of each individual accounts, you can do the transfer one by one. |

| Ash, unless you know the root password on your reseller, you won't be able to do it in one shot.
You will have to copy each one seperately with username and password. Sorry, been down this road before and it is the only way. |
