Any way, their main site is back online. It might be some serious issue if they had all their servers down.
Lets wait for their response to see what was the issue.
A few people mentioned it was a complete network outage while others said they were being sued for hosting copyright material and were going through each server - which wouldn't make sense to shut off their main site.

Matt, maybe there are no any official version of downtime at all.

They seem to be a reliable provider, hope they will be able to explain what has happened to them, timely feedback to clients is one of the best strategies any host can think of.
You are right. Unexpected things may happen with any host. We cannot blame the hosts for such events.
But they should update the clients properly and periodically instead of pushinh them to total darkness.
