| vps help Hi Guys, In need of some help as it seems hosting-ie have no clue.
On the 14th of feb I finally received my details for VPS1 fro them, I immediately followed the tut on creating the nameservers, then on the 18th everything got screwed and they reinstalled the vps, only to find mysql wouldn't start so had to wait for swsoft to sort it, anyway it got sorted, namservers were redone, I added my domain with a physical hosting package, upped vbulletin, installed it...now sometimes the site shows, sometimes i get Code: The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
Please try the following:
* Make sure that the Web site address displayed in the address bar of your browser is spelled and formatted correctly.
* If you reached this page by clicking a link, contact the Web site administrator to alert them that the link is incorrectly formatted.
* Click the Back button to try another link.
HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found.
Internet Information Services (IIS)
They are trying to tell me the vps is low on resources, saying I can't run a premium domain on it...yet its a new domain and only basic vbulletin installed.
Anyone any ideas why this is happening, why sometimes it will show the site and other times not...the vps has 512mb ram according to plesk |

| You should probably change vps provider as if they are trying to sell you something bigger when you know that it is a new domain they aren't providing the customer service you should expect.
Have you checked your .htaccess - sometimes peoples problems are there. Or CHMOD or permissions. E.g. is it owned by the user and has correct chmod to read/write.
I hope that helps a little,
Joe.
EDIT:
Although, the fixes I said would only apply if you get the error all the time..
Try and DNSSTUFF.com your domain - this may show any dns or nameserver issues you are having. You could be having cache issues.. has any other user of this site had no problems?

| Looks like a windows vps (IIS used). Is it just that one website hosted on the VPS? If you have others (such as proxies, etc) you may run into issues with ram running out, which would cause issues.
