I cannot see them saying that they don't allow them in their TOS. Any way, it will be worth to ask them before you signup.
They have live chat on their top, so it is only a matter of a minute.
Hostgator.com say nothing in oarticular about adult content on the site, only
Talking of other hosts, I can say that you can check Cirtexhosting.com, Webhostingbuzz.com and Siteground.com plans, but they allow only what is called legal hosting.
I would suggest ask sales befor signing up to avoid any further problems

HqHost.net, Adulthost.com and Ahosting.biz are the companies that allow to host adult web sites on their servers but I think you'd be better to read their TOS, AUP and SLA before signing up.

First of all your content must be legal for the state you are going to host it in. Netpod.com seems one of the best places to find such kind web hosting. In this thread only us located companies (Adulthost.com, Webhostingbuzz.com, Ahosting.biz, cyberwurx.com etc), so I think that you will be able to find more to compare prices etc.
Just read their TOS carefully.
I think it's just because adult web sites will consume much CPU and bandwidth that's why it's impossible to have them on the shared web hosting. Dedicated servers from Webhostingbuzz.com will give you such ability.
Vexd Hosting <- www.vexd.co.uk allows adult hosting as long as it is within the legislation of the UK. We are a small company we can spend more 1 to 1 time with our customers getting them set up with the settings and web-server customization they may need. Take a look at our website, and if you have any questions PM me, or contact our LiveSupport on our website.
As for hostgator, unfortunately I'm not 100% sure. I would email their help-desk and ask.
They have statement in their TOS. And that's mean they Do NOT allow it
