Caution Warehouse Monkey - Any Dealings With Them?

Hi,

Has anyone ever dealt with Warehouse Monkey (http://warehousemonkey.com)? They sell primarily on Ebay in the UK.

I purchased an unmetered reseller account from them for £29.99 (for life) in May 2007, I then upgraded to a 'dedicated server' at the cost of £179 (for life) in September. Since September I'd had nothing but problems with the server - Time was always wrong, cPanel/WHM refused to load 90% of the time despite me having 0 clients on the server, cPanel updates failed most of the time, EasyApache couldn't be run due to memory contraints. Equally they said in their upgrade email I'd be getting a dedicated server with 8GB RAM, when it was actually a VPS with 256mb RAM.

After all of the above problems I had been contacting support daily only to be told excuses after excuses and that 'something is being done about it now/tonight/in an hour' when nothing was happening at all. I lost a lot of business over this, and turned down a lot of new customers.

I'm currently trying to get a full refund out of them, but they're completely ignoring all of the emails I send to them. No news, haven't heard anything from them since November 24th. I've given up all hope now of getting my money back.

So, has anyone else dealt with them - Care to share experiences?

Thanks,
Rich

P.S. I moved to a VPS provided by A2B2 Hosting (a2b2.com) and everything is working great for me and all my clients.

Sadly it would seem so. Even more annoying, is the details on their WHOIS; all fake.

iHubNet-Matt will become famous soon enough

For life means you need to pay only once? and they were offering a dedicated server with 8 GB RAM?
That is too good to be true or I will say an impossible deal.

Yes, as I have found out. Check ebay.co.uk (Search VMS) they're still offering these to the public at the same price, and often lower.

You could find a lot of good resellers packages from reputable hosts at Webhostingtalk.com

Be careful with your search. Use Google to check the background of each hosts. The more negatives feedback don't go with that company, go to the lesser evil, hey nobody is a perfect host.

Avoid "for life" sales pitch, and the "unlimited" and "unmetered" hosts.

Yer i have heard of then and also had the misfortune to do exactly what u did etc and get scammed i belive intentionaly into getting a dedicated vms also after getting the reseller plan. Problem after problem for the first few months the it all got sorted out they did try on my behalf alot etc. I got the VMS during the problems that was fine no problems to date in fact its still running and i dont know who to contact or where its been hosted for me etc. who can i get intouch regarding my VMS my reseller acount has gone down same as u my web hosting company was their i lost lost of clients and respect and obviously the time and money invested their.

I am awear or the death also etc, but are they going to sort it out and fix the shared servers that are down and support the server that are still running like mine. I can understand if they need a break to get things going and sound like they lost the life and blood of the company to with the death, i hope they get it togeather because it was getting to be a good service at one point and everything working fine and i had support up until Xmas, December.

Damn shame i knew they was trying and building their service up etc and their would be some teething problems, the good out weighed the bad, i guess i was greatful when my stuff was working. but this has killed my dreams and finances and someone stole my site and copied catted my webaddress on top of all that.

Please Who and How do i contact someone about my working VMS with them Its up running and fine just unmanaged and no support to contact i am really uncertain about it's and Warehouse Monkeys future.

i am worried obviously with good cause to be by the looks of it, for now ateast until they inform their clients more about whats happening atleast.
If they are not going to opertate anymore i think they should make it clear and atleast forward a contact for support for the running dedicated VMS Servers and shared if any are still running other than mine??? that are still hosted.
Or tell us whats to happen nothing worse than ur server just going down. They must be hosted somewhere and been looked after as mine dedicated server is still running fine just my shared reseller hosting account has disappread, a contact email/number would be nice.

I would even stretch to say if they, got it together again i would stay with them and continue to buy from them. I really hope they strighten things out soon.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=403805

Please if anyone knows how and who the company is where warehouse monkey have their dedicated servers hosted with i figure i migtht be able to contact them for suport or did they have their own server in which case i can only assume they are doing their best to continue their service in someway otherwise i would have my VMS still active and running and only lost support and my shared reseller hosting account. which i might get back if they find a new technical engineer/customer support guy.

Any details or bread crums would be massivley appreciated i put everthing into my hosting and got hit big time by their misfortune for now or lies which ever the case my be, i prefer to belive in misfortune for now atleast. and guess should think myself lucky my dedicated server with them is stll running and fine and always has been since day one. Its been a huge experiance and lerning curve for me in many many way dealing with warehouse monkey. I have just took the good with the bad and all the bad seem to be with my reseller hosting account. I hope they sort it out soon forever ones sake they wasnt the worst i am sure they was responsive to emails and recieve lost of support up until late November, Decemeber.
