i have a hosting plan with hostgator.com and i have few addon domains... is there possible to have the_same_subdomain_name.addondomain1.com and the_same_subdomain_name.addondomain2.com pointing each one to different sites?

sure it is. just enter a different document root for each one when you create the subdomain.

sorry,

I thought host gator would have their cPanel setup similar to every other web host I've used: the subdomain folder is automatically populated with the subfolder name, but then you just edit it how you like in the document root textbox, before you click "Create"

iHubNet-Matt will become famous soon enough

What control panel are you using? In Cpanel you will be able to specify the folder name when you create a subdomain.
