Multiple domains hosting at different folders of main website

Let say, I have a hosted a domain name www.domain.com and I created folders domain.com/folder_1 , domain.com/folder_2, ...............domain.com/folder_n
and I want to host different domain name to each of those folder , I mean domain_1.com should be hosted @ domain.com/folder_1 , domain_2 @ domain.com/folder_2,........domain_n @ domain.com/folder_n .. I want to make it clear that not just forwarding but those different domains should have their root directory at those folders domain.com/folder_1 , domain.com/folder_2, ...............domain.com/folder_n and they should able to have individual ftp a/c so that different people work on different website..

I am just testing out 1and1 control panel and I was amazed that I can do what I mentioned above. Right now I maintain Ensim 3.1 at EV1 and I don't see I can do that with my server. I am not sure whether it's possible with cpanel or Ensim 3,5 or Ensim 3.7 or Plesk .. I really don;t prefer 1and1 but I kinda like that feature. you know why ..

If any one maintai multple websites, the main domain name domain.com ranking can be improved by many times in search engine bcos all the traffic other websites which are hosted in folders are accounted to domain.com and thus improves the ranking in search engine like google ..

I think you got my point, if not just read one more time and you will know . I tried my best to put my thought in to words .
I really like to see the responses on this one bcos I was kinda excited after I got this idea to improve a websites ranking by many times.

Are you talking about directing domain names to subdomains?

May be this explans little bit better ..

Search Engine Ranking Improvement

Right now I run about 3 best sites say domain1.com, domain2.com domain3.com and each are indivially hosted.
And Alexa ranking is like 100k, 200k, 300k respectively .. I just got an idea that I can improve one of the website ranking (say domain1.com) just by hosting domain1.com @ sub1.domain1.com and domain1.com @ sub2.domain.com .. This way, I guess the search engines account traffic of domain1.com as total traffic of 3 domains domain1.com, domain2.com domain3.com

This is just my idea and not sure whether I am correct or not ..So what do you guys think ?

I'm not sure about the ranking part as I haven't experimented with it enough, but it's possible to do this in Cpanel.

I don't know how that will effect the ranking. Let us know if you try it out.
