Hello All,
I've currently got a reseller account with donhost @ £399: http://www.donhost.co.uk/products/reseller.html
My account is due to for renewel soon and to keep my options open I was wondering if anyone knows of another UK based company that offers a similar or better deal...

| I had a freind who used to host with them, he used the personal section of there company had went through phases where the site was just down and gave a silly error an hour later it was fine again. | |

| i have co-located servers with dedicated-servers.co.uk and also a reseller account with webfusion.co.uk who have now been purchased by pipex.net might want to try these guys they are very professional but they normally deal with business only. | |

Would you consider going with a US based host? While I understand why you would probaly want a UK based host, we're running Dual Xeon servers, and while we don't offer an 'unlimited space' plan, I'm I can make you a great deal, I just need to know how much space you're currently using.

| I started of with heart internet all was well to start but I started having probs installing scripts, popular ones like nuke, scommerce, phpbb, invision etc, when i enquired why it's all down the php.ini and other files, they are very strict and security and won't budge and although you can use you own php.ini to bypass some settings they hate it.
Restoring databases has to be done through ssh as phpmyadmin is like 2mb max size even that times out very quick, I used a program called mysql administrator but they wouldn't allow me to use an external program, when the time came to cancel i gave em the 7 days notice and it was 12 days until the next billing day but they still billed my cc anyway, I got the money back from the cc company but heart said they would pass it on to a debt collection agency, nothing as yet but...so all in all m i'd give them a wide birth, they basically only like normal sites, they don't give you much support on things they don't provide or even like. | |
