What do you think of Dream Host?

I am considering signing up with dreamhost.. I hear good things about them. So if you have any experience with them, please share.

Thanks

the best thing was the awesome deal...a year of hosting for around 9 bucks.

I use them for officerprograms.com

Haven't run into any problems yet, so that means I can't really tell you how customer service is.

Their control panel is a little confusing.

They have some one click installs.

And once again, the price was right.

I have been with Dreamhost several months and am happy with them. They are a little slow on tech support, but if you are experienced enough not to need support alot then its not a problem. I can live with slow support knowing the host will still be around a year from now, they own their noc so its a safe bet thy arent going anywhere..

Try email Dream Host for 'support' response timing.

I decided to go with Site 5. So far they are awesome and I have heard amazing reviews about them. The dreamhost company just seemed very unprofessional. Their site is very ugly, and their plans just seem a bit off.

Anyway, I am very happy with my decision.

agree with cenix, before you signed-up try out to contact the customer support, if they're replying fast, then it's a good thing to take their services.

I have never used Dreamhost myself. I have seen a lot of friends use them and they have been happy, but again, yes, they also reported to me they were slow on support responses.

I am personally using Site5.com webhosting and have never been happier. I have been with around 10 different webhosts, usually for about 6 months each. I have been with Site5.com for over a year now. 15 minute support responses, awesome packages, awesome equipment, great latency to my servers, overall awesome experience. I highly recommend using Site5.com
