1) Stop spamming your site.
2) £4.85 for web design? Seriously, get real mate. Do you really expect to get anywhere this industry when you sell your services as cheap as that? If you do, then your very, very disilusioned!

£4.85 is taking the whole "we are new so we're offering low prices" a bit too seriously!

My point is, there's low price and there's low price. If you are offering web design packages for less than the price of 1 month's hosting, then there's something seriously wrong with your business plan (do you actually have a business plan?).

If that's your low price, what's your low price - £10.50 ?
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/web-development-wanted/88682-affordable-web-design-starting-only-4-a.html

Also, people are not even going to take you seriously with such prices. The thing is, people have entered the mindset now that price = quality. In general, this is true, Ceonex being a prime example. They charge $20k for an average site, but its amazing quality. There are exceptions to the rule however

Now, I have tried to give you advice, and, I could be wrong, but I'd like to see you still in business (or at least running in profit) in a year or two year's time. Come back here and tell me, make a note in your business diary

He's right Nick, now I don't know you, but looking at your Web site it looks like you have some skills that are worth a whole lot more than £4.85. If the graphics on that site are yours, then you have every chance of making it out there, I suggest you do some cold calling in and around your local area (it works for me!) to try and get some business.

Good luck mate.

how good will the design be when you are cahring so little for web desgin?
you are just making the web desgin industry worse.

preform a free service or something for non-profit organziations to build up your portfolio would be much better way to get into this web design business if you lock of portfolio.

Give the kid a break? You see, the person is running a business and, in business, there are no "breaks". Business is a tough ole' world and we are merely warning him that if he wants to survive out there, then he should raise his prices to fit with the market.

Why not design for, say, £200 - £300 if you wanna start cheap? They are unbelievably cheap rates (for small businesses) in today's market...

How old are you now? Just curious how long you have been doing design.

I don't think it is anyone elses problem how he runs his "business" or how cheap his prices are...he is doing the work and lives with the consequences, not anybody else...so stop raping his thread.

Good Luck Nick

Well, I've given my opinions and would like to wish Nick good luck (and I also hope this does not cause a feud between us, it's just that sometimes I give my opinions in a very frank and, sometimes harsh way).

So, best of luck in your new venture and I hope you survive. Don't forget to come back in a year or two and give us an update
