Long term joint project offer

A couple months ago I put out a request for designers for a joint project. Unfortunately it took me a long time to get back to them because I had lots to do.

That said, I am putting out a request again but with more details:

http://upwithabang.com

I picked that domain name because I am launching script services that will allow new websites to be put "up with a bang".
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/web-development-wanted/119820-long-term-joint-project-offer.html

Sadly, I am only one person and lack design skills. I have the programming done though. If you review the site you'll see what I mean.

The site currently offers 7 web services (calendars, directories, mail forms etc) for a year subscription of $99USD. The scripts output CSS classes that can then be used to match the output to the website.

What I would like is a designer to redo the main http://upwithabang.com website. In exchange they can sell templates to my customers for the output of the service scripts for $99USD each.

If you are interested, please PM me with your portfolio address.

Thank you.

oops - problem fixed

I fixed an ugly IE problem for those of you who have seen it. I was trying out a webring (useless) and it sent a different sized table for FF and IE. And I only test IE offline - live and learn.

Another example of why I need a graphics designer to work with.

Thanks

I'm not sure if this is on topic or not, but my advice would be to market it instead of re-designing it. Of course, making the page look good can do a whole lotta good for you, but mostly marketing it to the right aaudoence would make the most important point here.

You know, vip-ip, I used to agree with you. I am very much a "substance over style" type person. But I've come to realize that most people are not. And I can see their point in this case. If I'm selling web services then I should at least be able to get something together that looks good - even if it means getting a different designer.

But if I was selling scrap metal or lipstick, I would not care so much about the look.

Thanks for your input though, it re-assures my original thinking which I'm still partial to.
