Should I?

I am thinking about settiing up a site where user can sign up for e-mail accounts. Like hotmail and gmail do. Is this a good idea? as some people have said there is no point but i would like other views.

Thanks

what email address will you be offering? It needs to be catchy if you want people to stick with it.

If you can offer a service only of re-directing the messages to the people's email, I believe would be nice, and the only mainly cost you would have would be paying the domain.

You would need a domain that EVERYBODY wants. Mail.com (ugh I hate) offers multiple domains to choose from. Free.

No, I wouldn't recommend it.

Depends on how much money you plan to invest. It would work if you add additional features.
