I need a simple template made

I was asked to make a website for my former high school's marching band. I told them I would do it. I purchased the domain name... now I am stuck. Designing isnt my specialty, I mainly do html and php. I made a template but I am not happy with it. I am usually never happy with my work because I know I did it. I attached a copy. I am sure if anyone else made the exact same template and showed me, I would like it, but I am just not happy with my own work.

If anyone would be able to make a template (which I would prefer) or help me with the one I did, that would be great. I can offer NP, Advertising, or some $$, not a lot of money though, since I am doing this for a non profit organization and dont have much money as it is

Hi Joe,

You might want to check out OSWD.org (open source web design) - they have some excellent open source templates for anyone to use. You can even alter the layouts, and change colors if you want. It's worth checking out. I often use them myself.

marcom, I graduated from JL in 04. I am going into my sophomore year at UConn in Storrs.

ManicGirl, thanks for the link, I have been looking at the site for a half an hour and found some templates, just gotta edit them and see if I like it.

You could always post a contest for NP$ or just for kicks. Many designers here are trying to build portfolios. you will never know what you will get.
