Pest Control Website

Hi

I designed this yesterday, with absolutely no guidance from the client only his old website (if you can call it that lol) just awaiting approval from client before progression.

ABBA Pest Control existing site

ABBA Pest Control (New Design)

Hello loul | uk,

Looks a lot better then the old design, that's for sure.

Few observations :
- get rid of the default blue text link color ..
- looks kinda plan right now - that white space in the right doesn't look so good. You could center it and put a background on the layout with nice shadowed borders.

There is room for more improvement!

Good luck!

Hi

Yeah thanks Studio, fair comments. Once approved I do plan to include modules in the bottom (white area) linking to relatives sections. I will then see if it needs a background. And of course, change the default colour link!!! Done that right away!!! lol

Thanks again

Hey,

I can tell you from this point that a good background changes allmost completely the way a web site looks.

Add some nice touches to it, some style and it should work out

Post here if you have any more questions

Good luck,

Studio

yeah I agree....Luckily I have time before client gets back to me...this is a low cost website so I cant go too in-depth but I am busy working on the page images (like the rat illustration) for all the sections.

Once I have implemented each section and added content I'll fine tune in and add some bg's and stuff....thanks again

The second design is definitely a lot nicer than the first. It's a nice, functional site that fits the nature of your business. But I notice that nav buttons are not working....I guess you're still working on that.

Good luck!

It's not he's site. He's developing this site for a client and it's not 100% functional yet.

hiya...

when I get to the office, I'll central it...see how it looks

In regards to the nav, like Studio rightly mentioned, it is in development at the moment. It's only a small project. The 'Pest Control' link works and you will see an example of what I am doing with the pages/sections. Like on the homepage I have designed the rat eating the rubbish scenario. On the Pest Control section I've created a 'wasps nest' and I will be doing similar to the other 3 sections. I think it adds colour and personaility to the project.

Thanks guys for the comments

yeah, much better than the origional.

my only slight reservations is thus: do people with an infestation problem want to be greated by the picture of a large rat on the main page? it seems silly, but the guy on the left with his spray dealy looks much nicer.

i dunno, probably just ignore me, but it kinda comes accross (to me) as rather unpleasant. i want to see the cure, not the problem.

good work though for a simple site.
