RedNerve Media Website Review

You may remember a recent post about my company, previously named, FrogShock Studios. Well, due to .com domain name availability we had to change the name and we are now, RedNerve Media.

To go with our name change, we have created a new website at www.rednerve.com and are looking for reviews on it. Any constructive criticism is welcome!

It seems to stretched out if you ask me, and the white background sort of detracts from the information. But other than that, it is very well done!

I am thinking about redesigning to a fixed-width design. Do you think this is a good idea or not?

I like this - Simple, yet very effective. I do think making one large red circular image below username and password would be a great detail.

PoorDoggie, getting away from the busy layouts is tough. In my opinion, the day of flashy sites with bits moving all over the place is over, the time has come for simple, clean & corporate layouts - that's what RedNerve specialize in!

That site is not bad, but it has an amateurish feel to it due to that dog with blood all over it, just doesn't look right on a professional business site!

And yes, lots of time went into getting the site the way it is!

That wouldn't be a bad idea. Usually sites are 900 but for yours I recomend 949, the perfect width on a 1078X blah blah machines. But the design is amazing. Don't change that

i think that the text is too small and hard to read... it looks nice how it is, but it is hard to read. It could be the light grey color that you have made it. Thats really my only criticism, and even then, its not really that much of a problem. You have it... the secret to good web design... now spill... what is it?

Hmm...the secret to good web design? Practice. That is it. Near enough every single day for like, 5 years straight I would go on my computer and practice my skills and then, it just kinda, comes to ya!

You gotta work at it though, no doubt about that! It ain't gonna happen overnight, just keep going, keep learning, keep checking out tutorials, and, most importantly, ask questions. If you don't, you will never find out the solutions to those niggling little problems.

Well, I hope I inspired you even a little slight bit and I'm glad you like the site! Time to go out and promote it now, I think!

Will.

You mean the navigation buttons are all different widths? Well, if I put them all the same width, they would all need to be the size of the current Terms & Conditions link (it's the largest text). There are 10 buttons so it would be like, 10 of the Terms & Conditions buttons - a massive navigation! For that reason, it would be impractical!

And I'm glad you like the site!

I think the random button widths add a sense of spontinaity to your site, they are good. You don't want everything too regemented - puts people off!

Indeed PoorDoggie, indeed. I am leaving them like they are for,

a) If I made them all the same width it would be very impractical.
b) What PoorDoggie said!

I like your logo it stands out as unique. I suggest putting your website in a fixed width table.
