any suggestions on the design of lushthoughts.com appreciated :-)

Hi,
Knocked up this site a little while ago (http://www.lushthoughts.com) to help me get a job, but then got the job a bit quicker than expected so the site sort of fell by the wayside ;-) Anyways have picked it back up again recently to carry on making something of it. I've got another 6 articles to stick on once I've finished knocking up a CMS this weekend, and creating more content isn't an issue..... but I'm a really shoddy designer :-(
The thing is looking really bland at the mo :-/ so any suggestions anyone can give me about how I can improve the look would be really appreciated :-)
Thanks
Dave

PS I realise some of the internal links are knackered and I'm gonna sort them out when I integrate my CMS
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/web-design-reviews/77555-any-suggestions-design-lushthoughts-com-appreciated.html

PPS I can also do flash as well now so any suggestions of tasteful use for this would also be appreciated
