Opinions on updated design?

Hi all,

I was wonddering if you could give your thoughts on this design?

Don't bother with any of the links it's just a homepage at the moment. It's an updated version of the ghastly www.pitchside.net

The code isn't great at the moment - quite a few tables - but I'm mainly trying to improve the design.

Well, I have seen it for the first time.

Nice, good looking site with a simple design. The header is innovative and the content is quite informative.

Don't see much diference exept for a new banner. Same colors and layout style (3 frame style). A bit boring style IMO and the colors arn't the best. I never like Blue and Yellow together.

Needs a fix IMO

although the header may have taken some time to create, making the site different is more than just changing the header.
