would love some honest opinions

Morning Guys

Would love to know what you think of my new site

www.MasonicGamer.com

Traffic as been good and since flipping to the new style I have seen an increase in traffic.

Please have a quick look and let me know your thoughts.

I never would have guessed to see a site on masonry and gaming. It is quite a unique niche. It looks like it is easy to read and navigable.

Although I will admit the Masonic Supply Shop ad in the header is a little distracting and confusing. I like what appears to be the absence of adsense. It looks like your readers would appreciate that.

What are the future plans? Is it just a blog? My only advice with any new blog is keep it consistent and updated. Have fun.

Very unique niche is true but its there and it's very big

Your right about the absence of Adsense I hate sites that are full of ads, I have included the small banner ad just to see how things would look with a banner ad and this is an affilate that im already with so it made easy just to use that ad.

We have some big plans for the site and changes will happen over the coming months, it already feeds the facebook page which we have now got 750 active members and twitter is growing daily.

Thank you for your reply.

A fine example of how an otherwise 'weird' domain can be made valuable with some development--particularly useful content--and care.

Yeah, the placement is great and the relevancy is there. The colors just threw me off. Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing more.

Thanks for your kind words

Do you think a custom header would look better?

I am also on the look out for a good affilate program i.e something game related but don't really want to cover the pages with ads, do you believe 1 or 2 small ads in the right field would be to much?

Once again thank you for your comments

There is a CSS problem with Google Chrome.

I will provide a fix.

In the file styles.css in line 122

#pagemenu li a, #pagemenu li a:link

change

margin: 0 6px 0 0;

to

margin: 0 4px 0 0;

and the pagemenu is fixed. Otherwise "My Orders" is under the menu and not inside.

I would add some more cool CSS3 to .more-link or the h2.title ...

Just my 2 cents.

Michael

Thanks Michael I have sorted it now, to be honest that should not have been shown as it was a store I was toying with adding at a later date

The theme is okay but it doesn't look like a gaming site. It looks more like a blog - which would be okay - and the header looks good as well but the content area looks a bit thrown around and could use more style & structure.
