But the site looks a bit plain with those colours

needs a bit more color thrown into I think, looks a little plain in the all grey theme imho

May be you could substitute grey color with any other light color. I don't really like Grey Color.

Try orange borderline Gray and orange is a cool match in my opinion. Otherwise, the site has a nice simple and personal feel to it.
