YouthfulInvestor.com.

I am completely new to web design in any way and this is the first domain I have developed. I used Wordpress and The Clear Line Theme. I am favoring simplicity and ease of use. Am I anywhere near that?

I have been working tirelessly on making sure I have relevant ad content. Are they placed appropriately? Are there too many ads?

I look to be updating this blog daily or at least every other day with fresh content whether it be blog links or an analysis or commentary. I am happy with the way it looks. What do you think? What is missing? Thanks!

Protect Our Planet
Hello hopkism.

I really like the layout of that theme, but looks old. If you think that you will have success with the domain you've chosen, I think you should invest into a better design. Not necessary money, but time. The internet is full with wordpress themes using the "News Style" as a basic. Try to find something more good appealing, friendly, easy to navigate, and so on.

I think the social icons are too big, and need to be placed on the bottom of the sidebar. And also, one more thing that I noticed, the categories in the sidebar, shouldn't be added in that selector. Add them as a text link, like you did in the footer. Will be easier to navigate through them.

I could help you to find some better looking themes, that you could use. Drop me a PM if you need my help.

Have a nice day.

Hello, hopkism. For a first time this is not bad at all and you should be proud of what you have accomplished. There isn't too many commercials and they don't interfere the viewers site, and I do like this simple design and think it is a good solution. My other thoughts are that you should think of a better hoster since it took some time to open a page (let's say 2-3 sec) and that's it. You are heading the right direction!

I completely agree with you on this. I am surprised that it was taking this long for some pages to load. I have never had any down time actually but some pages take even longer to load. Others are almost instant. I might be switching for a more speedy host come renewal time. Thanks for the observation.

Banner has good position, but you should add some add at the end of every post. That 6 125x125 ads should be under subscribe, none can see them down there. I like that old template look.

Thanks for all of the suggestions guys. I am very happy with the design now including the logo I had created, which is simple and unique. I think the site is easy on the eyes and allows for easy navigation.

I have purchased some premium plugins in the last few days to help make my site just a bit more unique, less like the billion other websites. : )

I will also work on maintaining quality content and improve the uniqueness of my site within its established theme.
