I have just reviewed your site already, I think your site look cool and wonderful, specially, I like your banner. However, I think you should improve the loading speed. It take me a long time to load your site. The site will be perfect if it has good loading speed.

Good day!

When I saw the site, I really liked how it's clear to the eyes--not like any other gaming sites. I love how the facebook ad got my attention, "Make my day and like this"-- It actually worked and I liked your page!

The things that needed change are:
the size of the twitter ad and the facebook ad; It could be nicer if you equalize the size of the banners.

For the upcoming games section, It would be better if you show the game poster/image for it to make it cooler for the visitors.

Very nice site overall and nice idea on your facebook page to have a guessing game -- It's fun for the fans!

It looks very clean, and it has a slightly unusual layout which works well. Like janine says, the facebook ad is a good one; most sites just use facebook api which isn't great if you're starting out!

I notice that on the upcoming games page you've got a load of released games there...you could improve it by putting a picture to each one maybe?

Thanks so much for your time everyone. I have updated the layout of my upcoming games for next month and its taken around 4hrs with this new post with thumbnails, US, UK and AU release dates

Its going to look great

Also I've been working on the speed but its really hard. Any tips and is if faster atleast?

I didn't notice any issues but the firebug firefox extension has built in speed analysis with tips on how to improve things

I said poor design cause from my experience gamers prefer portal designs.There are thousands wp themes with portal design why you made a classic blog?Footer is important for SEO.The search engines look for header, footer, links and images.Also it is observed that often the visitors scroll to the end of the page to find something. If they don’t find anything they leave the site.You could also add some cool widgets if you had a theme that supports footer widgets.

The site looks great, but as another poster mentioned, there's no footer???

When I scrolled down and didn't see a footer, my first reaction was "did the page render properly?".

Not that it's a bad thing, but footers are so standard, it's kind of a shock not to see one.

haha ok ok I have been working on the over all design last night until 2am in photoshop so I'm going to clean it up and update layout in the next week. Also is WordPress my best system for a website like this? or something like joomla? I want to be kinda like 1up and gamespot

but smaller and more personal with my readers.

Wordpress is much easier to template for & can do a lot - I'd recommend looking at that if you want something...

I have been working on the template and I've been buting alot of the images out but it still takes 5.88s to load! Please help! What can I do? becasue I've but all the image quality by half.

Also what is the average load time I should get to for my website?

In the entire site only the logo is good in my eyes. dont take it negatively. just try to concentrate more on the look and feel.
