Review BassHost.com

Hey

Launched a shared hosting service with my partner the other day.

http://basshost.com/

Be honest thanks.

Nice site and I just found a few ideas and problems.

1) Great work with seperating the blog hosting as thier are alot of people wanting thier own personal hosted blogs every day but I would probably put some info about it on the front page. Ad Banner maybe?
(Maybe you can increase this idea by doing hosting plans, blog plans, and forum plans)
2) On your shared hosting plans you have pro space as 24 and I think it should have been 24GB
3) I would change the server image on your front page to something more sharper as the image looks low res (check out istockphotos)
4) great inserntive with the “believe” code.
5) Maybe change the client link to say support as its a little confusing because it made me think I was going to be sent to a page with your top clients.

Hope this helps!

Honestly, your site looks pale. As a visitor, I'm looking for something attractive.

I like the design, it's quite neat. The theme and colors used looks awesome and from those, it really looks like a webhosting site for me.

Great call to action leading your customers to either more info or buy now. Love it. Simple is better. A lot of people are completely lost on how to navigate a site or site being to cluttered. Yours is just right.

Being a fisherman, when I saw the name BassHost, my first thought was a fishing site. Perhaps that's just me wishing the weather was warm enough for fishing.

Lol. What makes you think that it's a fisherman related site?

I'd suggest changing the color of host in the logo to match the greenish color used here: http://basshost.com/shared%20hosting.html

Also agree the servers on the front page look a bit blurry.

But you're on the right track, I can't believe how many hosting companies got poor outdated sites, I think it's especially important for Hosts to have great looking modern sites.

And to get your business started you should go to Webhostingtalk.com and post a special discounted price in the offers section

Just the word bass. Any word that sounds fishy. LOL! Love to fish. It was a dose of humor with my review. What's next, CatfishHost.com.

All jokes aside, I think your site is a winner.

yep we are working on getting the higher res of the server picture ... possibly a different picture and we will have the color match done soon.

24GB ... thank you did not notice that.

Thanks for your inputs guys

Looks good. I'm more concerned about your overselling of hosting resources but that's another subject.

I think it looks pretty good ,I would personally change the term "portal" in nav . Just because it has more of a parked sound to it.

The design is pretty nice but some of the colours are a bit pale. SOme of the homepage is a little blank too but overall a nice looking site!

The green logo doesn't really go well with the rest, since I don't see the colour being repeated in the layout. The image is not crisp enough, seems like a small image made bigger. Other than that, I love the layout.
