A new medical site

The idea is to have an anonymous Q&A with a doctor. The questions are posted and then reviewed by a group of doctors. The answers are posted in a yahoo answers like format but the only people allowed to reply are pre-approved doctors.

Check it out: http://www.mdtalks.com

Any critique is welcome.

The idea is good but the structure and the way the contents are aligned re not. It loads slow as well.

I agree with what others said.

The site obviously look like for a medical person. All I can suggest is, add more content on your site.

Align well your content. Justify it and avoid bold text on your site. I do not find it nice if it is bold.

Also like the idea

I'd recommend changing the width of the site though, right now the min width is 1220px which isn't very optimal as quite a few people are still using 1024 x 768 resolution displays. I suggest changing it to 960px, a more common site width.

I'm not sure if you are using the web developer toolbar for firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60/), but there's an option there were you can view your site with different resolutions which is quite helpful.

I think the layout is far too wide, and elements have been placed quite irratically, the code doesnt validate - I dread to think about accessibility of the site.

Nice site. I found a couple things that could use some attention.
In your posting policy you state:
"Emergencies

The User must not access this Website for medical emergencies."

Then when you go into your questions section you have a whole area on emergency related asked questions. You might want to relabel or call it something different.

Another suggestion is for the front page "recently answered questions". I I think it is a little too much. You could shorten the questions and have it cutoff at so many characters and use the <--more--> if they wish to read more and it will link to the question page.

I think it is a good idea. You have a lot of tough competition. Good luck.
