My New Design Site...

Hello everybody,
I'm new to this forum and thought I would start off on a good note. I just finished my new "hire me" design site for my small design group. It took about 6 hours and I was just wondering if I could get some feedback on whether or not it would make you want to hire me. The portfolio and photography sections should be up in a few days...once exams are done. And I know it's very image-heavy, but oh well, it's a design site. Oh, and I'm only 16, so be nice.

Afterburn Design Labs

Any criticism would be appreciated.

Rowan W will become famous soon enough

The first problem I see is that I don't know what the site is for.

Since something can't be both new and improved, I'll let you decide. The new Afterburn Design Labs site is up, featuring this brand new, fully automated news machine! The most important parts of the site are still missing (portfolio, photography) but don't let that stop you from hiring us.
This tells me that you have a website and you wouldn't mind if someone hired you. Hire you for what? Your 'About' page doesn't help either, it explains what a business does and that you like money.

As for the design, it looks nice but it's completely unusable. It's slow, confusing and I still don't know what I'm here for.

Also, don't use images for text, try to break up the site a bit by replacing image-text with true text. At the moment it's unbearably slow on my cable connection.

I wouldn't take a second look at this site if I weren't critiquing it.

Sorry for being harsh, it looks nice but you need to re-think it.

btw, Keep the same navigation on every page. No one wants to keep going 'back' just to get somewhere else.

No hard feelings

Rowan
