Logo Review

http://www.melgurt.com/newlogo.jpg

Please review my new logo. Im working to get off the horrid pink / green scheme I designed in the past. I dont see it quite professional and it doesnt really showcase my skills.

Please let me know what you think and if this is an improvement. Im up to constructive suggestions.

A first glance those things behind the text looked like the back of ancient CRT monitors to me. To me they are an unnecessary and make your logo look clip arty.

The text imo looks less professional tilted and overlapped . It might imply playfulness, fun or even inflation since those imposing blocks are breaking it apart.

My suggestion which I hope you view it as constructive is:

Scrap it.
Go with something simpler, more legible and less colorful.
Less is more.

I think the new logo is an improvement. I would certainly steer away from that color scheme. I see it attracting teenage girls, maybe, and I'm sure you want paying clients. I'd go with greyscale and earthtones. Go with a green, but more of a pastel green, less of a neon green. Green is in, and with spring coming up your going to have earth day and all that. Make the site look eco friendly, even if it isn't.

Good luck!

I think the colors of the fonts are too desaturated...try putting them more darker. The logo needs to catch the visitor`s attention

Once I saw the site, I saw the background blocks as servers, if that's your intent it might be worth making them more obviously servers so the logo stands on its own.

I also agree with digital29 that they need to be in bolder colours (US: colors).

That's all on a micro scale tweaking the logo. dotcomtrader's points are worth considering but that's going to lead to a more macro change to the site and logo.

Hope that helps
