Review Music on the Go

Hi all,

Please take a look at Music-Whiz.com For Mobile

This is my first attempt at a website designed for mobile use. It shows well on IPhone, but from what I've seen using ready.mobi it appears a bit cramped on mobiles with smaller screens.

I've decided to let the fact that it is cramped on smaller screens go for the time being, since most new phones have larger screens.

Not all features of Music-Whiz.com Music Database are available on the mobile site. The focus on the mobile site is to display information simply and allow members to post in the forum and send messages to each other, whereas the focus of the main site is to allow members to add music information to the site.

Now, no matter what means you use to access the site, I'd like some feedback. Let me know how usable the site is for you, how it looks, how quickly it loads, and (if possible) how you are accessing the site - desktop, mobile (make/model) or other.

Thanks for your help. Negative feedback is encouraged - It's the only way I will learn.

Hallo! I can advice you to brighten the headline - blue tint which you are using for it is too light and difficalt to read. And modify the coloration- add some colors which are compatible with blue!

Great design, simple but looks very powerful. How about put some ppc program in your front page?

Hello. The site looks pretty good. I would suggest a little different color theme. I don't find the current one very appealing.

Do you have any specific suggestions? Any colours you think might go well with blue?

Ouch the logo/banner is canny low-res, I would sort that out if you can.
Basic coding issues that need sorting out: CSS and XHTML
No H1 element??
The character encoding of each page should be specified within the value of the content attribute (using charset=) on a meta element that also includes an http-equiv attribute set to "content-type"; your character encoding was not specified.

I'm working on a better layout and graphics based on the feedback i've received here and on other forums. At the time I could see that the logo was low res but I figured it was with sacrificing speed for file size - but it seems I'm the only one who thought so.

I'll fix up all those errors.I never validated the CSS before, and the errors on the XHTML must have slipped through with changes I made since the last time I validated.

Thanks for the feedback.

very simple, excellent for users who are navigating with their cellphones but you should make another version for PC visits
