Personal Site Aesthetics

I know this site's all about helping web developers, but I consider my personal website something of a project, so I'd love to hear some feedback, especially about the aesthetics (if you want to comment on content, go ahead):

I'm working on getting the horizontal scrollbar on the iframe removed and I've sacrificed some "cool-looking" stuff for the sake of cross-browser friendliness and scaling (size - resize the window and refresh and you'll see what i mean). Keep these in mind during your criticism =).

EDIT:
also, feel free to comment on the pages other than the main page, as i have less of an idea of what to do with them. at this moment though, the main page is my baby and the other pages are more of an afterthought (except the 'Pics' section which i babied a while ago).

Once the page loaded, it looks pretty good. However, it took about 15 seconds on my high-speed connection to load. It looks like you might have some off-site content that's causing the slow-down. I like your color scheme & overall design. It's a definite improvement over the old page. It looks more concentrated, now.
