| Too much grey in the bg, as well as parts of the content. Looks monotonous. Otherwise well organized and attractive. |

The only thing that doesn't look like it should be there is the gray boxed area in the middle of the site. Either try to make it lighter, or remove the black outline.
Just my 2cents |

Consider your site comparing to other portfolio site like this one... http://www.designershut.com/ .. Just an idea how a portfolio site must be unique against other sites...
Just my opinion.. |

· #6 | | NamePros Member | for a designer's portfolio is very weak and un-attractive, there's not a single selling point, not a touch of color, lacks the "wow" factor any designer portfolio should have (otherwise, why would someone hire you?), and so on. This being said, there's a market for this kind of simple designs which use basically gray and blue as their only palette, I'm asked a lot for that kind of sites from people that don't like anything new or trendy, just old fashioned style sites, so I don't know if it's a bad thing. All in all, it's what designers use to call "programmer's designs", that mean designs made by programmers, which can be decent, but rarely something special (same as designer that program).
The weird thing is that I might look to use his services, lol, I was searching for something like this and I think I've found a person, but if it doesn't work or if I need more people I'll contact him
btw, one thing: tell him to link the name to the home page or add a home link, otherwise people has to hit the back button instead of having proper site navigation |

| Gaucho is making a lot of valid points. The site is a bit stale, there's no accent that would draw me in and keep me there for a longer period of time.
The color composition needs a bit more action to start with and add better images to the front page. If you can't grab someone's attention at the door, most people will leave at the front page.

| It shows that you (or your bro, whoever we are critiquing here) have the sitebuilding skills to make a competent site... but it's got quite a plain meat-and-potatoes look to it, like it was built by a website developer but without the addition of a designer to make it look pretty. The kind of sample that might get you some steady work as a builder of efficient, tidy sites but nothing beautiful. If you want to wow people and build sites that people really want to see, for visual as well as utile purposes, you'll really need to amp up your design-from-the-heart skills to make your sites attractive.
Nice sitebuilding work, very competent, but not particularly attractive. Hope these comments help some
