PokerRetards.com

Hi guys,

The site is a showcase of some of my personal favorite REALLY BADLY PLAYED poker hands. Jennifer Tilly, James Woods, Beth Shak, Tony G, and others.

I felt a little weird using this domain name to begin with... it's definitely not very PC. I picked it up on the aftermarket because it had some backlinks and a PR. Estibot gave it an appraisal of $150 so I figured what the hell. I had the website just parked for awhile and it lost it's PR and a bunch of the backlinks. And it wasn't converting at all on fabulous... and I mean AT ALL. Not a dime. But it still has a lot of links coming in and pretty much nothing going out... so I'm hoping it will be able to do well in the search engines for poker keywords and I'll make a little coin with the affiliate banners.

It's not exactly pretty or flash, but it's a start. I'm hoping to get 20 mini-pages up and then just forget about it. If any of you have any suggestions for really dumb poker hands that should be included, I'd love to hear!

Let me know what you all think! I'm kind of proud of it for just a night's work...

-DB

LOL, Nice site.. I think the navigation is "strategically" set so that the ft banners may get some extra clicks..

Some classic hands are missing though.. What about the Scotty Nguyen donk off in WSOP '07 to Hilm..

Even though the domain name sucks, the way you built the site is very well done. Just enough to keep a user going, you're defusing the name by explaining it away....as simplistic as the site is, i absolutely like it - probably because of the simplicity.

a few suggestions though:
place the number to click into a button and make it look a bit better. Granted, it may distract a bit from the banner right above, but it would give the site a better face.
Get a logo going, something like a hand of 7/deuce and reuse it in the favicon.

DomainMovement.com is an unknown quantity at this point
Horrible domain, I don't like the double RR and using retards is pretty bad but I like that most about the name because I like going against the grain. Cool concept for a site but I would def make it look more like a top 20 countdown and actually load the site with number 20 and say in big letters top 20 worst played hands, ditch all the text and create some kind of logo even just PokerRetards.com in bigger letters with a lil color would work for now. keep going with it tho, i bookmarked it and will check back at a later time.
