Website comments and feedback please

Hi guys,

It's been a while since i made a topic in here. But i've recently revamped a website and i'm looking to get feedback on it.

The site is: Design Oven

If you can have a look around the site and at the other pages and provide some honest feedback that would be great. And do please be honest whether it's positive or negative feedback as it all helps build a better design in my opinion.

-The top diagonal stripes are dated, popular a couple years ago with the Web 2.0 movement but no longer...
-Not inviting to read. I dont know where to start or what exactly you want to showcase on the front page.
-Not feeling the flash.
-Too much info on the first page
-No logo?
-Special Offer doesnt stand out.

I love the look of the website. About the only thing i would change is take the portfolio and the services off the front page. Beansbaxter is right there is to much info on the first page. Also as nice as the "logo" looks, i would get a new one. The current one seems a little place for a web design company. Other than that stuff, nice work!

overall it's ok, you can still monetize the left column below the menu.
