the first thing i do when i visit a new site is look for a short blurb explaining what the site is/does and you executed it nicely with that paper in the top right. its short, sweet, and to the point. the only suggestion i have for that is when you say "provide news, information, videos, media, upcoming events, and much much more", are you referring to any specific niche or just in general (i assume you're going for the "wild west" niche). if you are catering for a specific niche, you should definately put that in the description. it not only will make it clear for the user what they will be getting, but it'll also help slightly with SEO and keywords/etc.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/web-design-reviews/498657-blog-site.html

i like the skin, its very appropriate for the topic.

as for the actual content, i know you said that its very simple, but theres room for some very easy but significant improvements. for example. the headers on the right that aren't used (sponsors, tags, recent comments, etc) - either put info under them or get rid of them (for now). their blankness just gives the site too much of a "new" look, and you always want to make ur site look old and distinguished when possible, because it'll give the users a feeling of experience. would you rather trust a 5 year old kid's advice or a wise 50 year old entrepreneur if you were taking business advice? same theory applies to websites.

another thing is the categories. you should always have categories, and they should be decently specific. i see that you have a post under "uncategorized". this isn't useful in my opinion because what the article is categorized is what keywords that somebody searching with will come for. if somebody wants "ghostride", they should go to the articles filed under "ghostride" or at least "rides" (not a west follower so excuse my lack of terminology knowledge).

if possible, you might also work a little on the css of the text. the heading of each post is fine, and the text itself is fine, but the footnotes (posted on __ by admin) shouldn't be the same size/color/size as the normal post. neither should the filed under / comments part. maybe make it smaller or a lighter color. another option would be to make the font size of the actual article slightly larger.

i think a bug that you may have on the site is that the register and login links are all the way at the bottom. they should be up top so users can find them. also, the wildwest.tv link under the "next page" link seems slightly unnecessary since theyre already on your site. i suggest making the logo at the top be a hyperlink to bring you back to the homepage.

for the video posts, perhaps put a small blurb of text describing what the video is about, etc. just a video is somewhat boring and confusing, without the background of whats going on.

think over my suggestions, i think they maybe valuable in your site's development. good luck!
