TopRegistrars - Please review (just launched)

I spent almost 10 hours straight getting this site up. Please have a look and give me your views.

Top Registrars .info

The template is more or less fully customized, I used a free template as a base and modified it till I got what I wanted. The original source codes was horrible and thats still a part I'm working on to make the pages load better/faster. This is where I spent most of the 10 hours!!

Anyway... would like to hear what you think. Could do with suggestions on ad-placements and affiliates to look at.

btw. the reason behind building on this .info domain is that I was getting traffic to it when it was parked. So hopefully that will help.

Thanks Wayne, yeah this issue is only in Internet Explorer, I can't work out what it is, maybe if a few more people take a look at it then someone will be able to work out what it is.

I design everything mainly through firefox at first... I hate IE - always has issues.

Anyway thanks again for taking a look.

Anyone have any thoughts on seo? How can I improve that and also ad-placements?

Layout: 6/10
Design: 6/10
Content: 7/10

-----Pros------
1. I like the background because it is static. I also like the way it uses a gradient, It works well with the layout.
2. The use of a border around the content box makes it stand out away from the layout. This is great because it helps lead eyes.
3. The fact that you use search engine friendly urls is great. It will help your site get indexed faster.

-----Cons-----
1. The headlines seem to blend in with the background. Try and mix it up a bit.
2. First Letter of the headline is cut off in opera & IE. I believe its due to a span class
3. The background of the adsense do not seem to blend to the backgroun that well.
4. The Glow behind the logo blurs it a bit. By adding 1px stroke to the text it should work out well.
5. The text that shows when the post was posted is hard to see.. Try changing the color.

-------SEO Optimization----------
1. Your Site is missing a meta description tag.. Try adding one, but have it vary with each post.
2. You have 39 keywords. Most professionals recommend using 15 or less because it tends dilute the value of keywords
3. Some of your images do not have ALT tags. Add them to the images to help search engines.

Like "Who Are Your Top 3 Registrars" - the "W" of Who is missing....

I believe its a problem with the span class.

Thanks for the review Ray, all taken aboard and will be implemented in the next day or two.

I've messed around with the span classes and still can't get it to work properly in IE/opera browsers.

I'll be adding the meta description tonight along with a little favicon.

Not sure where its getting 39 keywords from, I'll have to look into that.

Thanks Ray, thats really weird - those keywords are used on seperate articles. Around 4-5 keywords on each article... not sure why its being used as the whole site keywords.

Also I have a plugin on the site which generates keywords for each article - that could be causing the over load. Stuff like "godaddy review" was auto generated I think. I'll take a look into it. Thanks again.

Thanks weblord... but despite all the positive feedback regarding design... I decided to change it last night. Did a complete make-over and made the site more friendly for browsing.

Went a bit web2.0 style lol...

I only like the header.. It's neat and organized.. The text area is very small I think and the sidebar is too wide... Is this a custom design?
