Review wanted for my first site - NewYorkFastFacts.com

Hi

I have just created my first website with XSitePro. I would greatly appreciate any feedback people have regarding the design, adsense placement, SEO or anything else you feel to comment on.

The website is:

New York Fast Facts

I realise it is only a small site. I have started with a basic, minisite to get my groundings and will be working on some bigger ones from here on. Would appreciate feedback on this first though so I don't go making similar mistakes with bigger sites if there are some.

Im very impressed as im also yet to create my first site... What program did you use to design this?? Great site though and fantastic tips, i'll sure to be visiting your site when I make my move to New York!!

Thanks for your input guys. I'm glad you like it.

I used XSitePro to create the site. I have no knowledge of html or coding so I found it quite easy to use considering.

If anyone has any criticism it is also welcome. As much as I like the compliments I'd also like to know if there's anything I can improve on before moving onto bigger projects.

i think its brilliant for a first attempt, silly things like the page title, you have a sitemap, you have integrated adsense, and a good background, content and images. Really impressive. On a personal level I think it's a bit skinny - but Im on a widescreen laptop. And also I am not keen on the NewYorkFastFacts logo, I think doesn't quite look professional enough.

But a great starting point!

Have u upgraded to XSitePro 2 yet?
I did it a week or two back and am finding it really easy to use - the site in my sig was made using it

Yes, I am using XSitePro version 2 with the latest updates and am finding it great to use.

It looks like a great site for a first time try. I like the logo and how everything is neatly and cleanly planned out. The only change I would make is possibly widen the site a bit because it's skinny. Other than that 10/10 for your first effort!

I like it, I think you've done great with the design. It looks authoritative, though a little clumsy in a few places.

A bit more whitespace could do the trick, but as it's your first website you should be applauded.

on seo side, gain more backlinks to it btw, and also it's only listed on google for 10 results.
overall the design looks nice.
