What do you think about this CSS only website?

Andy Gongea | Web Design and Development Tips

This site is backed by Wordpress and the theme is 100% CSS and Typography. The only graphic elements are the images from the posts.

So what do you think?

Thanks

It is well put together, considering the layout is purely css.
However, I'm really not a fan of the Color Scheme. The pink and blue, then drank soot background just doesn't appeal to me. This may be just me, though, I've never really been a color expert.

One small thing that I didn't care for was the thick bottom borders on the boxes (such as Other Links). Also, your bottom Link has a border, which looks pretty odd because it touches the thick border below it. Either add a margin or get rid of the Link's border.

"Other Links" was in pink, which made me assume it was a hyperlink. It wasn't. Try to stay consistent (with your other hyperlinks) and unique (from other elements like plain text) with your colors and themes.

At the bottom, you may consider centering your name and "All Rights Reserved".

You have the ~20px black border around the top and left of the entire page, but it isn't at the bottom or right of any page. This looks especially odd on the Contact, etc pages.

I liked the style...

The colors i loved.. I think those colors go well together. I've always had a problem designing dark layouts, i never can do it, just cannot get the colors right. Well, you did it and it looks damn good for being only css.

IMO the borders look fine, as well as the style of the layout.

CONS:
The FONT, I didnt like that style font too much. I would try to mix it up a little more.

Thanks for the comments.

You're right about the other links. I've missed that.

Regarding the font - I only don't like the menu. the rest I think is quite easy to read.

Thanks guys

I think you may want to center it and put the entire thing in a wrapper. Right now you have a lot of white space.

Colors look good though. Border looks fine.

No - regarding the style I don't like it centered. It seems like now all the sites are center justified and I'm not Ok with it.

Thanks for the appraisal

I like it. It's very clean and easy to read. I'm not a fan of darker backgrounds, but sometimes you have to go with the trends.

I really like it. I must say that in this day and age it's actually rare to come across such a simple, clean and fresh design. It seems these days many people try to overcomplicate their designs and they clutter them with graphics and various other unnecessary colourful flashing objects, so it's refreshing to see a return to simplicity.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=484904

I actually think the colours you have chosen compliment each other quite nicely. One thing I hate in some website designs is when people try to get TOO creative in their colours and the result is an eye-burning mess like a dripping rainbow, so again it's refreshing to see a simple, yet effective colour scheme. The fonts you have used are clear and easy to read against the background. However, just a little suggestion, I think it'd look slightly better if the links under "Other Links" were made to be the same font as the content in the blogs.

Also, I can see you're not a fan of centering designs, but I won't hold back my opinion on this because of that - in my opinion I agree with Ja$on and I think it'd look much better centred. The reason for this (for me) is that I usually prefer to see blank space towards the sides of the screen and content in the centre. I prefer not to have to keep my eyes looking towards the side of the screen, it's just an automatic thing that I do to look straight into the centre of the page for content.

Ultimately though I like the design and I think you've done a good job.
