Not bad since it's bringing some unique flair. At the same time though, i think it's almost a bit too simplistic, toy character style. Maybe a more professional, industrial touch would give it a more techy look. This may very well just be my personal preference, though.
I thing that there's something wrong with the circle that makes the face of the little magician, also the image quality is a little poor - my advise is to use .png format. The hat is GREAT!!! I really like it. I hope that my comment helped you.

As people said above it needs clear image to make the graphics stand out
I would also suggest to have different shots of Mr. Wonka holding, pointing ...
This will make the mascot a live part of the webpage
I agree dotnom, instantly reminded me of south park. The purple seems to be blurry on his shirt for some reason. I pretty much agree with everyone else in this thread. The image quality could be improved, and possibly his hand. It's hard to tell that it's his left hand in the logo.
