ninetwofive is on a distinguished road

Looks good, takes a while to load up though. The white menus on the left are a little hard to read.

Overall is good and shows you have a twist in design BUT the white is too boring and i think makes some sections not so readable
Check also your photo at the "about me" section
Does this look good for you ?
The site has a pale feeling and doesn't create the urgency to dig further

Thanks for the feedback - I'm not sure why it takes so long to load. I've been trying to look into it. I think one reason could be is I have the entire portfolio on the one page. Trying to figure out if I can make that load last.

For the blog, I'm afraid sIFR is slowing it down... Now that I have some more entries, with some big headlines, I think it's making the load time take a hit.

As far as the color - This site is really kind of an experiment. I was afraid I was relying too much on color at work to make a good layout. This design was meant to utilize typography, contrast and layout to make it work. On the blog, you see the article right away, and on the portfolio, my work is the first thing you see. Everything is really peripheral, as far as I'm concerned. I think I will change the portfolio prev/next buttons to black, though to make them pop more.

The feedback I've gotten on this site is very mixed - some people love it, some hate it. I guess it kind of walks a line, eh?

Any thoughts about the load time?

Thanks for looking!

re: the picture: what, that you don't see my face?? Yea! That's a good thing!

I think the idea is to hear the people who hate it and not change the feeling of the ones who love it

From what people have been telling me, the reason some people don't like it is the very same some people love it - the very stark color palette, to some, feels clean and elegant, while to others comes off boring and plain.

Do you think there's a way to work with this color palette and you would like it? Or at least, stick with only 1 color (besides black and white)?

I would certainly like everyone to like it!

The sidebar is almost impossible to read on my computer, between the color and the text size.

I think what's missing are graphics. It's a "creative" person's blog, but it's very bland.
