I'm curious what you think of my new site, been online for about a week now. I've wanted a flash games website since 6 years ago, and finally I went ahead and made it. I'm really happy that I've finally made it...
Anyway, I didn't use one of those arcade scripts, everyone has been done from scratch, it needed to be personal to me or it will just be another useless website out there. Only a couple of the games on the site are mine, the rest I had to collect. I've had a couple people submit their games, which is good, but I'm hoping more people will come along in time.
My target audience for this website is mostly children aged 10-16, hence the bright colors. You may notice those banner things on the left menu... I'm just trying to find a way to get traffic to the site. I really have no clue when it comes to get people to actually use the site hehe... still I can host my own games on this site whenever I make a new one, which is great . I just hope this site can one day pay for itself (hosting/domain fees).

But I am unlucky, I am over age.. Well, the design looks awesome really for that audience, I'd just play a bit on the logo enlarge the font a bit.. and make a favicon to complete the pleasure of the design.
Looks solid. Gets that arcade feel across. The sad thing is that it's just another arcade script, then again...it's the best that can be done short of writing custom code.
So, overall - great job.
Mike I'm not sure if you meant to say that I was using an Arcade Script or that it is a "arcade script", but just to clarify, I did built this from scratch - I did not purchase or use an arcade script so... yeah its all custom code.
Well Porte, all ages ARE welcome, I am just catering to the more "young at heart" with the look and feel. Oh and there is a favicon, maybe you missed that?

I suggest adding some Web 2.0 Touches. The Bright colours are Perfect for your Targetted Audience. But the Site looks like its from 90s. This is a Far Much better Look. See the Design
I do like that sort of design you displayed, however I also believe a more simple less-fancy (all those gradients and pictures everywhere) will bring about a more comfortable user experience over the long run. Either way, I don't want to start changing the entire look, but clearly the addition of some gradients and characters would help make the site look more "web 2.0", which I am sure to work on over time if people do start to use the website.
I suppose most my life so far has been mostly from the 90s era, which could be the reason for the 90s feel. I will look into some adjustments to the interface, but to be honest its not my top concern with the website... at the moment it's just finding a way to bring some traffic to the site. I really hope to start my own community of gamers, if possible, with the theme of "Orks" - because after all, it's fun to role play :P.
