It's a bit on the uneventful side. A bit more color would bring some life to it. It's own domain wouldn't hurt either as it gives your more control.
Then you're missing the standard elements, logo, favicon and new post icon that's driving the favicon or logo.

I would say changes you could make to benefit the site would be.

The site is too dark. Your font does not have enough contrast. Forum readers are usually rail birds that stay for long periods once they get in. Make it easier to read. Lastly I think you should go for a leader board ad on the top instead of the 250x250 cube. It will make for less scrolling to get to the content.
