Which Direction Should I go.

I'm working out the design hook to a site I'm building: 3Characters.com
I have done 80% of the design already w/ ex#1 and just threw my Av qnd some txt to demo another approach that may be better.
Would you kindly take a peak and give me your opinion on whether I should go w/ (1)the direction I have been headed , or (2) go w/ something less literal- more of a caricature look which I will animate for a couple of loops w/ Flash? If you hate both concepts, express your opinion by going w/ (3). Remember, this is about concept and not layout, although #1 is pretty close to final look I would use- B/W (as 3Stooges movies were filmed), w/ a small dash of crimson here and there.

Yes, I have had a few other responses that Have gone in that direction. Looks like all the work I did on #1 is shot for the time being. Although a little (alot?) much, I went w/ #1 because, though over the top, I thought it would be an attention grabber, but was concerned w/ the prospect of people not taking it seriously.

Oh well... I have 3Stooges.US. Probably can salvage some of my work for that site, which will be a simple one-nice graphics, a thumbnail history, some "did you know?", lots of hi res pix., 4 pgs, $xxx, and it's your site, marketing approach.

I agree use the stooges for your 3stooges.us and option 2 for 3characters.com
