Well this was my first attempt at using Joomla. I love it . Easy to use when you get the hang of it. Currently im still just testing the site and adding new companies every day. Please give me honest feedback on what you think. The site is www.clixnhits.com Thanks!
Very nice!
Solid Joomla setup - gotta love it!
I like the rating module/component. Which one did you use? (mtree?)
Left side: The module that displays you adbrite ads, change the bullet from "show module name" to - "No". It's just a subtle difference, but a difference nonetheless. (example: http://www.americanpilotcenter.com/ )
Other than that, the yellow backdrop is intense, maybe a bit too intense. Tune the yellow down a few notches and see whether you can watermark your logo into it. Again, subtlety is key to have a good secondary branding mechanism at work, while you're not distracting from the main content window.
it's not easy to review something that's built on a solid CMS.
My tip is to start looking around at other joomla setups and find elements that you see as beneficial to your project. Check the links in my sig, they're all joomla based, maybe there's something in there that you haven't thought about yet.
Well when i started buying domains i needed to find companies that could help me make some money. I wanted to park some and i also wanted to develop some. I had a hell of a time finding companies to work with and it took me a while to find quality companies. So long story short if i found a site like this (clixNhits) when i was starting in the domain business it would have saved me allot of time and money. I did find a few other sites that reviewed domain industry sites but nothing was from the consumer perspective. That's what i wanted on this site. I simply post the companies and want people who have used the companies to give their opinion of them. I hope that explains it good enough. Thanks for the feedback i really appreciate it!
