Bees Go Buzz.com

Please tell me what you think about Bees Go Buzz. It's a small little website that uses strong AJAX and CSS. It displays a Quote, Fact and Fortune of the Day.

Thanks,

Great concept, love these simple types of web sites. Nice use of javascript and CSS (yes, I noticed your tableless layout ). Quote, Fact and Fortunes really stands out which is perfect.

The only suggestions I have for you is that the footer text blends too much with the background, I'd lighten it up a bit. The logo seems a little plain too, possibly give it a face-lift?

Good luck

Loading Time : 6/10
Frontpage : 6/10
Comments: There are a whole variety of fonts on the front page, reduce it.
Ajax : 5/10
Comments: It is loading fine, but you need to introduce a transition effect.

Thanks for both of your suggestions.

For Richard: I've already looked into getting a logo, and I'm talking to a graphic designer about it. And I have changed the colour of the footer text.

For iRoyal: I'll look at what I'll do about the fonts. And as for the AJAX transition... I've thought about it, and even tried a fade out, fade in, but it didn't work as I would've liked it to. I'll look into that again.

Again, thank you for the comments

Interesting concept. Aside the recommendations above, i would suggest a slightly different color for the backdrop or the actual frame to offset the items and build a "depth effect" that would give your site a little more visual substance.

Other than that, i'm interested to see where you're going to take this site.

The layout is nice and clean, but I feel it could do with a couple of curves on the corners. And maybe a slightly different colour/shade of the main content area and the background.

Hey Kokkei.

Great site you've got there. It looks modern, chic, and certainly a great site.

My only recommendation is that you vary the color tones a bit; the blue seems to blend together. Perhaps make the inner text box a lighter shade of blue?

Regardless, very nice job. Beautiful implementation of AJAX and CSS.

I've kinda put aside the main website for a bit, and I've been working on a version of the website for the iPod Touch and iPhone. Any of those who have one, direct Safari to www.beesgobuzz.com/iphone. It even has a custom web clip icon for when you want to add it to your home screen.

Please tell me what you think.
