In need of Suggestions

I have an E-Zine and I am working on like 7 new coding features, but after looking at the front page I just think it needs something. Not sure what it is, but I will take any suggestions:

Hello,

I think it would be better if you can have an Icon sets on the menus or on the sections of the site... and not too static maybe, i mean have an animation somewhere, hmmm, like banners of ads if you have already have, or a simple flash animation somewhere...

But the layout is great and love it.. keep it up..

Flash is something I will definetely have to do, but again have to learn this more in depth.

But the banner ad that says 'Writers Wanted' is for us, just a little something to add to the page and we just recently added. I do have another, so I am going to make this a .gif rotational.

As for the top menu thanks for the suggestions, working with some variations for it.

i like the layout. one thing i noticed though, is that there is a lot of text. with those little snippets of text, maybe you can also have a small image. i also agree that icons would be a cute touch.

Hi, I would use the dotted vertical line also on the right side to separate the right navigation from the content. Use one type of bullets, I see "+" and "•". Use one kind of navigation, you use at least two: "[Main] --" "Layouts /" use for example: home | help | etc | ... Good luck

i agree that it looks static, u should have put some animated images.
