Cool Review: Board Boosting

I just want some simple reviews for www.boardboosting.com and get a general idea of what people think overall.

There is indeed some static noise while loading the site. Maybe a sound effect gone wrong!?

The site itself is not quite done i assume - the nav bar doesn't fully work yet. Other than that, the layout is a bit too plain, i'd appreciate a few images to loosen up the text and provide some snowboarding impressions.
Maybe a short video here and there would also bring some interactivity to the site. Obviously, this follows the concept of a more mature "mini-site", with large content, which is hopefully unique?
In your content, you have multiple fields showing as extreme <- check your text editor for the symbols.
The symbol of Mount Power can be used as Favicon and a map of the best boarding areas would be great as well. After all, you're promoting one of the best countries to ski/board in!
Which brings me to: What i appreciated most is the footer "Mountains 47, Ausria"! Going for "Ausria" alone is not bad, but i'd be totally happy if you spelled my home country right, there's a "T" in AusTria

Best of luck!

M.

Hi

I think you should, reduce the long story on the homepage or even - highlight a few main points, using pointers etc.

What is your service ?? or purpose ..ok

Beside what mike said, I would make the logo a little bigger or the menu items a little smaller, right now both items are almost the same size which they fight each other, you need to have a primary item (such as the logo) and a secondary item (the menu).

1. Ok as far as the noise. I had put a javascript that is required from a site that Gene the moderator is promoting here at NP called pay per play. I was testing the sound and forgot to turn it off. That feature will not go live until after February 1. So in the meantime I turned off the sound, so no more static sound atm.

2. I fixed the typo in Austria. I didnt see that. So thanks for pointing it out. It was spelt that way on the orignal template I got from freelayouts.com . I dont think the coder realized it either.

3. I took the chalet out and put a snowboarder in.

4. Filled the header links to snowboarding related stores.

5. I will check the editor to get rid of the symbols.

6. I put a Shawn White video in from Youtube

7. The site was pretty much informational as far as anything goes.

8. Checked in both IE and FF and looks fine on my end.

ok..so, the same here

get rid of those ads...try putting them in the page, not on the top of it.with some blending, I think people would click more
and make the header links like a menu
and for snowboard results, try embedding those results in a special page on your website..that way, you could also earn some ppc revenue if you put ads on those pages
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=419289
there are also some on the page...try getting rid of them
add a favicon
and the column for Snow Boarding Articles, the color you used for them, looks more like adsense links...really..try choosing a different font..putting a border..change the color, add some hover effects
and also add a border with some shading for the maing text on your website

that;s all from me so far
